"I can tell the difference between what is healthy and unhealthy for me and my community, therefore I will speak!"

In Building from the Block Up we create and support multiple campaigns in order to raise justice and sustainability awareness, that imparts valuable information, and stimulate lively community consultations around issues directly affecting the 'quality of life' in a neighborhood or school. All campaigns are grassroots led and in accordance with our overall Building Vision. The 'neighborhood youth team' interprets and amplifies these campaigns by singling out their families, friends, and faith communities as the audience. Once a particular issue is identified as relevant and found to be 'needing attention', the whole organization mobilizes its resources upon it as a focal point for action. We use quality of life surveys, forums, interviews, social media presence, and cultural art to gather further input while generating more broad attention into the identified area. These campaigns also serve to strengthen participation in the Building Strategy by generating perspectives for community study circles and support of the building projects to follow.  Campaigns officially last one month, but receive support from the Media Arts & Marketing Groupas long as the community shows interest . (Let us know about other local campaigns not on the list).
